In the spirit of positivity, halfway through the season do we regret releasing any of the players we released last year, or were they all the right decision?
Byrne - not played anymore AFAIK
Tony - Just signed for Whitehaven
Raynor - probably had to release on the basis of the court case
Lee - Been injured quite a bit, I think
Thackray - been poor from what I've seen
Thorman - York City Knights - say no more
G Horne - done much the same at Hudds as here IMO - adequate squad player only
Maloney - Halifax - haven't really seen him
King - pretty anonymous when selected
Cordoba - Cronulla - no idea
Seems like the right decision in all cases was to release, although possibly I think Lee/Houghton could have been developed into a decent hooking combo for when Berro goes, plus would have been interesting to see whether Lee could have been developed as a 7 under Long.

The decision to release the above was the correct decision IMO
however the problem is that we have even more deadwood to shift

I don't think anyone can justifiably be disappointed with our ins and outs for this season, and IMO the proof is in what improvement we have shown.

Agree. Would find a place for a fully fit Motu as well but wasnt to be. Hope Motu kick starts his career up in Cumbria. |
