We are in the same group as York & Newcastle. We play at York on the 4th February & at Newcastle on the 18th February.

Thought we might have had one home game & one away game?

I seem to remember they were giving the lower grade teams the home games in early rounds.

A home game would have been nice but that would have meant York having two away games. Don’t know how they decide home or away for games involving two Championship teams.

Are Newcastle confirmed as playing next year? I guess this confirms it if nothing else.

Fancy going to the York game. Has the potential to be cracker given their recruitment this off season.

Presumably as the relegated SL club we had a higher standing than York.

I reckon there will be quite a good amount of Trinity fans going to the York fixture

York are actually my outside bet to finish 2nd in the championship. They’re no mugs and blooded some good young players last season and should be stronger this season for it.

Decent group to be fair.

Rumour round 1 fixture to be announced tomorrow morning and if what I heard last week is true it will be a cracking opener.

The Championship season opener will surely be home v Featherstone or Bradford.

Aren’t the first round of Championship fixtures in mid March? The early rounds of the challenge cup are in February / early March?

The date I was told was mid March. Probably something unexpected too.

The first CC rounds are interspersed between the 1895 weeks.
