| Sorry to hear that Roger Millward has passed away. He was a few years older than me but I remember when amateur rugby league used to be on Sunday afternoons. My grandfather took one look at him playing for Cas, i think, and said straight away "He's a future international". How right he was. I watched him many times when we played Hull K.R. and was always worried when he was named in the team. Great, great player RIP Roger.

| Played against him in the u17' and 19's, although he'd signed on pro forms, because of Hepworth and Hardisty and also Edwards at FB, he had to play in the juniors quite a lot even though at 18 he was good enough for most first teams, even if we'd played touch and pass it would not have mattered, you just could not lay a finger on him.

| Can't deny he was a gifted player, but I'll never forget that blatant trip on Toppo when he had a clear run for the line in the Floodlit Trophy Competition at Belle Vue. Having said that, a very sad loss at such a relatively young age. RIP Roger.

| Was it Toppo? I thought it was David Smith but could well be wrong (long time ago). My mate and I were standing in the south stand and saw the whole thing very clearly. Roger got penalised but turned round with a great big grin on his kite and gave two fingers to the Wakey fans and said 'two's better than five' and it was. If we'd have got five then we might well have won. As it was, thanks to Roger, we lost. Great player though and much admired by all of us. RIP Roger the Dodger.

| Definitely Toppo, Two Points. Both were competing for the GB stand off position at the time as I recall. Eddie Waring had a fixation with RM. I may be wrong but didn't Millward go to HKR because the two half backs at Cas at the time (Hepworth & Hardisty) were immovable from their positions.

| Think he did move to Hull KR to get first team football. On that night wasn't he playing full back?
