| Massive game now, will go a long way to deciding who makes the six. Must be better than that second half today. To be honest it was the most disappointing hadl so far. Collectively as team we seamed to lose the plot.
Anyhow we perform as we have been doing up until that point and we have a chance, and we owe them one for earlier in the season.

| Nowt to fear, if Hull perform like they did today then we'll win. We go over there full of confidence and playing well with an enjoyable style of rugby. We're very pleasing on the eye.

I agree, a very disappointing second half after a first half master class, Too many knock-ons and a total lack of attacking ideas in that twenty minute spell in their twenty metres area.

I agree, a very disappointing second half after a first half master class, Too many knock-ons and a total lack of attacking ideas in that twenty minute spell in their twenty metres area. i don't think it was a total lack of attacking ideas because we should have scored at least 3 or 4 tries, if we'd have just passed the ball properly, there was that one with Walmsley when he threw a forward to Rourke, when he should have let it go earlier, there was one i where I think Jowitt threw it to Walmsley but he put too much on it & it went into touch. Tbh, without watching it back, I lost count of the number of tries we butchered, there were just too many. I remember Hood went for a quick pick-up a couple of meters out, to dive over after a good run from Hall, and knocked on when the line was wide open. So many times where we were in their 20 and just made mistakes we just didn't make in the first half, and we should have put another 30 points on them imo. We dominated the game and territory, but we went away from playing the structures we trained and executed in that first half and went looking for that miracle pass a few too many times, plus started making silly erors, and we also let Catalans make us get into a bit of an ugly game for a bit. Seems to happen quite often when teams get so on top in the first half, they just can't keep the standards the same the whole 80, and the scoreboard seems to affect how they play. Still, we nearly put 50 on Catalans, a team we've usually had trouble with, so we can't grumble too much. We got the 2 points, and our points difference is healthy. That second half, though, leaving to one side the tries we should have scored, etc, seemed to last forever, and had too many drawn-out stoppages. Those Captains' challenges do nothing for the game in their current form, and the amount of time it took the video ref to decide on fairly straightforward things like TJ's last try just sapped the life out of the game. The second half must have lasted 10 minutes longer than the first. Anyway, with that same team and play how we did for 60 minutes or so, we should do just fine. As I said, I think the drop off was a symptom of going for miracle passes and not playing to structure because we were scoring so easily, knock that on the head and hopefully we can have a little winning streak going in the next few games.

Agree - if Corey could look up a bit more instead of going for the line we would have scored a few more. Also I thought Walmsley could have taken Tomkins on the outside instead of throwing the forward to Hall, with a little more confidence - I recall Tomkins was done on the outside last week and it really exposed his advancing years.

| I don't think it was a case of playing badly. Sometimes when you've already convincingly won the game you go away from plan as it's too easy.
We wouldn't normally take Pitts off half way through and players were breaking when they'd normally have to build pressure. It's just how it is sometimes. Lesson to learn.
I'd also say Catalans tried to make the game scrappy which took a while to get on top of. We did well not getting drawn in.
And it's worth saying only Hull KR and Wigan have scored more against them.

| This is like the Catalans game very important for top 6. Best FC in their yard and we go 3 points ahead and we play more of the bottom 6.
In fact if we beat FC I think Leeds/Leigh/Saints will be looking over their shoulders.
With those teams having already played Salford and us a few games coming up vs bottom 6 if we poly ourselves like that Catalans and KR first half we could sneak in top 4 even by the end. No pressure to do that though.
As for the game i watched the Catalans game back and there was accidental contact with Max and Tomkins as he jinked and lowered a bit but it wasn’t heavy or intentional so I can’t see that being more than an A at most if even at all.
I’d go with a similar team to this week but maybe put in Nikotemo if we need to freshen up a bit.
Very impressed with the squad as a whole and every player this season.
That brutal defence and work ethic we had at start of season has truly been found again too. Great to see.

| Not sure if Tompkins has a case to answer catching Warmsley's head scoring his second try.

| Cue was on the rack the second half, I wouldn't look too much into that at all.
Regarding FC they seem to have dropped off a bit since Asiata has been out, he was unreal for them at the start of the season, not heard anything about him still being out for thursday?
I fancy us again to go there and put a performance in, a win would be massive for the playoff race with our games to come against the bottom sides
