| Hi guys.
I'm a Salford who's slightly puzzled by the Phil Bailey signing, and on your predictions thread some think he's the worst signing made for next season.
Other than a fantastic try at Leeds a few years back, I've never really noticed him do a great deal for Wigan. So what did he bring to the Wigan club as player? Was he a leader on the pitch? Did he Graft?
If you have any answers I'd be grateful, as signing Wild, Nero, Anderson and Bailey, in addition Adamson (x 2), Sidlow and Parker seems a little strange to me.

| IMO, he'll bring experience, leadership and a ton of hard work.
He'll probably spend at least 25% of his time injured (I'm tempted to say 50%), but his work behind the scenes should improve Salford a LOT.
I hope he stays fit for you guys, but I just can't see it

Can't argue with that! We've already signed Patten and Feka, in addition to Holdsworth, Ratchford and M. Smith.

| Does things your other backrow forwards will not/do not want to do.
Gives 100%, good leader, consummate professional.
Will not go the length of the field, may not even make a break all year but will lead the defensive line, organise it and make the hard yards.

| He's a top pro.
Fingers crossed Bomber will not stick him in the though as his winger is guaranteed to get zero ball.
Will work all night in defence and is as tough as they come.
Nice bloke also
Also it is a great thing to have many players for few positions. Strength in depth is the name of the game

| A model professional with plenty of experience and an inspiration/influence to any young forwards you may have coming through. His defensive work is excellent and is a leader on the field (he was a part of our leadership group). He will organise your defense on the park too. Going forward he doesn't possess much speed or footwork, but he can find an offload and will give his all for your side. He has the ability to play at centre, but this is not ideal as he lacks pace and the balance to defend against faster centres with excellent footwork. Overall a decent signing for Salford. Not a player you will remember for the rest of your career and not a player to pick up the MOTM award, but he'll do the hard graft that his team mates will really appreciate & respect.

| Probably the most unspectacular player you'll ever see. But solid, hard-working and a great role model for the rest of the squad.
