Anyone else had that email from the club inviting us to Ealing Trail finders?

Sucker for a freebie that I am I thought I'll give that a go.

Till I found out the "invite" involves coughing up at least 40 odd quid for the privilege.

Even Gus wasn't that cheeky with his curry extravaganzas.

What do you get for your 40 notes?

2nd tier Rugby Union, a meal & some glasses of wine.

Not forgetting a trestle table doubling up as a turnstile of course.

To be honest, I do not think you will be missed.

Obviously the issue is not about the owner, bloke just thinks he deserves summat for nothing, now we get the real story.

That's as maybe micky but generally speaking an invite doesn't involve coughing up cash.

Guess the club are as hard of English as you seemingly are.

invitation - a request (spoken or written) to participate or bepresent or take part in  something. That is the English definition for you. Nothing says an invitation has to be free. It depends what you are invited to take part in.
Only freeloaders assume that everything is free.
