| Monday 22nd June sees William Hills to be the first to open a book on man of steel.
I guess it was tongue in cheek as a rip to me when either sir adrian morley or morleys_deckchair, can't remember which, said he'll bet Chris Bridge.
I for one don't think it's as far fetched as made out.
He may be a big price but he will be a player if Wire feature in the CC and GF.
I still expect the same usual nominee's of Peacock Sinfield Roby and Westwood along with last year's winner Brough.
I see Peacock as the favourite. Regardless of whether Leeds win something or not, I think because he was runner up last year, they may do a Keiron Cunningham thing and give it to him on a year that he's done nowt because he was runner up the year before.

Peacock should be ignored purely by virtue of having spent most of the season in assorted referees ears moaning about perceived injustice, or teams who have the temerity to front-up to his beloved Leeds.
You want a player who embodies the "steel" ethic? Look no further than Chris Hill. If there is a better, tougher, more skilful forward in SL then I must have been looking the other way when he played.

| Thanks for putting right there wire 78. I thought he got it near the end of his career. Sorry for the mistake. I remember he got nominations when he was good and in a successful team and got pipped by other players in his team.

Good shout mate, alas its seldom won by a prop or forward...hence Peacock, Moz Westwood regularly missing out, unless he is a goal kicking loose forward who is playing at stand off like Scully and Farrell.

| Trying not to see things through my Primrose and Blue glasses, the MOS so far this season is Chris Hill. Luke Walsh has transformed Saints from a mid table joke to a top of the table joke.

| Hodgson and Pat Richards won it in the past for goalkicking so Bridge must be in the mix.
Daryl Clark would be my tip but he might have to move to a big club to stand a chance of getting noticed.

| Chris hill has to be in with a shout. We are finding our form now but earlier in the season he carried the team by himself. Also what about his try saver today? Amazing effort to get back.

| Chris Hill has certainly been our best player.
Who has been everyone else's though?
I haven't seen enough to look through the rest of the league.
Cas-Clark
Saints-Walsh
Widnes-Brown
Leeds-Hardacker (after his suspension though he's cancelled that out)
