Serious question not an angry an angry or nasty one..

The reason i'm bringing this up is because i was in Wetherspoons having a prematch beer bumped into a lad i know who attends Wire game although i don't stand with him. When i asked if he was going his reply was "no £15 is a f*****g rip off to watch us against Swinton and last week was S**t aswell"...

I was slightly taken aback by this so i said "against Cas we were awesome what you talking about?"...
He said "yeah but it was boring"....I just shook my head and got back to my pint because this same guy was someone who used to say he wasn't going back to games until we started winning (Cullen and Lowes era)...?

Anyway coming out of the ground after a storming and very professional performance against Swinton i heard a fair few again muttering about it being too easy and not being entertained...?

Now the reason i'm little bit peeved is, if this was say Wigan or Leeds beating Swinton,Cas,Quinns,Keigthley by these scorelines i'm pretty sure the same people would be saying "Thats what Wire should be doing"

I for one have waited a long time to see a team like this i wish some people could just enjoy it instead of finding anything to be negative about..

Some people (not many, but some) don't realise that the function of the club is to win games and make money.

You know i was thinking the other day about how good Wire are and i had a crazy thought.

I hope i don't get bored of a potential Wire dominance.

There's something a little special about being around speccies who know the team they are watching are absolute c--p yet still turn up and sing regardless.

Now you don't have that special feeling when you're always battering teams, you look around and think "did you watch us when we were c--p, did you sing for the cause even though you knew we were rubbish or are you here just because we are winning"?

Don't get me wrong i never begrudge new support, but they don't feel as 'special'.

I can't understand how people can moan at games like this. I started going to games in about 1999 so I'm too young to remember a team anywhere near as good as this one. I don't think I'm going to get bored if we improve even further and start a period of dominance. I'm just glad I'm not watching some of the rubbish I've had to over the years.

I feel privileged watching this team, and yes in the past we've been rubbish but I'll always love that feeling i get before the game and sometimes during and after the game.

A lad i know told ne he left 20 mins before full time against cas cos it was boring,i couldnt reply to that

il take that kind of boring for a long time to come,we have had years of being the nearly team why not bask in it now.

Do you think the club would have made more money if they had reduced the admission price for last night?

Some people just don't want to go to the match, which is fine. But instead of being honest and saying I don't want to go they say that we are not winning or winning to much or too boring or too dominant.

What they really mean but haven't the mental strength to say is I don't want to go.

The answer is a simple no, and a complicated no.

The performance was incredibly entertaining, but then thats mostly subjective, but the majority would have enjoyed it.

Winning and losing is cyclical in some respects but there will always be something to complain about and people to make those complaints. This board is never as busy as when we get beat, I could probably name 2-3 posters who I guarantee will comment on a loss and not on a win.

We've been through it many times before, just as players have their standard media soundbite answers like "no easy games", "forwards setting a platform", "winning ugly" "great to play for a big club" etc so do fans. How many times do you hear or see fans come out with "disgrace", "joke", "one man rugby", "no clue" when referring to players, coaches, referees or administrators. Invariably incorrectly and without any actual experience or knowledge of the situation they comment upon, that's a given in sport and general opinion. It would be boring if we all had the same opinion, but people seem to get mixed up between their opinion and fact.

skip back 10 years to 2001, and we struggled to beat woolston in the cup.

Let em moan, you just enjoy the feast we're enjoying at the moment, regardless of the results as tony's saying, we're playing some glorious rugby, which, if you're a fan of the sport in general, you can't fail to enjoy.

Attack or defence, its textbook RL at its finest.

Rather than the boring stifled smothering negative submission style applied by 'other' teams.
