| Sorry guys but I'm sure you'll agree - it's becoming a shambles that no one wants to be part of. Very worrying.

| Strange timing this. I presume the apparent breaches of contract have been going on for a while as he has already previously submitted a transfer request, yet upon being dropped he has decided to resign, at a time where he can't play for another club until next season anyway.
Another fine mess.

Is there a registration deadline for free agents? Would that count as the same as a transfer? If so very strange timing. Maybe the Dr had a hand in it to stop him playing elsewhere.

| Very sad if true, if any one was the future of the club it was Theo.

| The owner needs to have a long hard look at himself and decide whether he is serious about running our club in a proper and respectful fashion. This 'my way or the highway' shtick has thoroughly run it's course as far as I am concerned.
The amount of talent that has been acquired and haemorrhaged in the last 3 years is beyond a joke. As in, just not funny.
Whilst we should be thankful for Dr Koukash saving the club from extinction, that grace period has now run out. The club's name is being dragged through the mud on an all too regular basis, and all the expletive-filled press conferences in the world will not convince me that he is constantly right and everyone else is wrong.
I expect to wake up soon and realise that my club could never have attracted the likes of Hansen, Locke, Hock, Chase, Dobson, the services of Tim Sheens, whilst playing in a shiny new stadium etc, etc, and yet managed to balls it up in such spectacular fashion...

| Your owner is dragging Salford's name through the mud, The swearing in the press conference sums the guy up he's an embarrassment and now Theo wanting out is nothing short of a shambles?
Salford RL deserves better

We know. Many see the arrival of Sheens as our last hope into talking some sense into the owner and persuading him to take a more hands off approach. Time will tell I suppose.

| Everyone seems to be jumping the gun looking for a scapegoat in MK. I'll stay out of that argument as I don't know the facts.
I also don't know the ins and outs of what's gone on behind the scenes, so I'll refrain from offering my version of whatever pessimistic/optimistic fantasy to speculate on. The only thing I'll note is the fact that the only other player to do such a thing looks like he doesn't have a case at all. That isn't to say everything's rosy but until the final outcome is known it doesn't do much good speculating. Shocking timing, and I'm with Talentspotter on this one. Theo drops down the pecking-order and wont sign a contract extension. Which is fine, as any player in that position would want to be first choice on the team sheet. Submits a transfer request as he's got plenty left on his contract. The Club put a price on him. He then waits until the start of the opening weekend fixture to throw his teddy out? Or maybe there's an interested party who doesn't want to pay a fee?
Whatever the reason, as a fan of Salford, I can't really forgive him for holding the Club to ransom these last few months like he's the next Darren Lockyer. Which he isn't. I'm willing to forgive him if I'm wrong, but for a player that was spotted and nurtured by Salford and given a chance at a young age. I'd have thought he would have been a little more dignified regardless of any problems for the sake of all those people and fans who've supported him.

| Reading through the story on the Daily Mirror site and then various Tw@tter comments it would seem this matter was resolved,to the extent it heads to a RFL Tribunal, about a fortnight ago.
Why it has hit the press/public now,at a very important time for a number of clubs,is probably open to speculation.
Surprised by some views, when there does appear to have been questions raised in the past when young talent was permitted to leave your club with a minimum of resistance.
As an outsider,if the owner has put a price on the head of a player who is under contract and then the player takes a particular stance to facilitate a move, most people would stand four square with the owner.

I agree.
As usual, there's a lot of knee-jerking going on.
