| Hi All
To help your evening on Friday be as enjoyable as possible here are a few tips
Free on site parking directly behind the north and south stands, bus station 10 min walk, parking in town centre plus around the tesco and cinema areas off spinning jenny way - you will also find Nandos, Frankie n Benny's and a Chinese buffet here - 10 mins to ground
Parking also on retail unit at Parsonage way off the by pass (sainsburys) , 5 min walk with KFC and pub on site. Miners is opposite here which also has parking and when walking to Ground Leigh East clubhouse is to your left once over the bridge/canal
On site there is a pub doing 241 meals (Whistling wren) together with a morrisons and the park inn, which tends to do matchday deals
The fans bar outside the ground is the Legends bar and has beer offers a quiz and player interviews before the game
Hope you enjoy the evening but not too much of course

| What's the prices for this game?
Also, for this game, do you have to queue up at the ticket office and then at the turnstiles?
Are all the stands open?
And is the North Stand the terracing section behind the goals, the West Stand the "main stand", the East Stand the one next to the athletics ground, and the South Stand the one behind the goals at the other end, right?

Spot on , you know the LSV better than MO as for Frankie and Bennys being a 10 minute walk maybe for Usain Bolt ,not for Charlie .

Pains me to say it, but that post is everything our new stadium isnt. If we were posting this on your messageboard it would go something like this.
"Pay £5 to park on-site, or you can park 15 minutes way at Eccles RL and risk your life crossing the M60 roundabout for the sake of saving £2. There's a burger van outside and if you're lucky you might get a pint in the fans bar if you get there early enough".
Great set-up at Leigh.

| It took a long time to improve things with LSV co, Rome wasn't built in a day and things will improve for you with the new road. I should also add our relationship with them now is fantastic.

| Maurice - you've mentioned Chinese, Nandos, Frankie & Benny's and pub grub, but considering it will be Friday tea time you've not given us details the most important eatery for that time. Any decent chippies?

I think the nearest are:-
Chau's - St Helens Rd - WN7 4HW
Oceans Eleven - Railway Rd - WN7 4AD
Kevs Cod Piece - Railway Rd - WN7 4AJ
Pennington Plaice - Leigh Rd - WN7 1SJ
I'm sure there are others, but can't think of them off the top of my head.
Strange being asked for fish & chip shops - only last week our opponents' fans were asking a similar question, but about PIE shops!

Iain, if you want a treat at the North Wests best chippy then head for the Green Lane Chippy at the roundabout with the Bowling green pub at the end of Holden rd. It has a small licensed restaurant with it as well but book to eat in as it gets very very busy on a friday, its what Fish n Chips should taste like - simple direction is come off at Astley and head towards Leigh, past all the schools and to the roundabout mentioned above
Its the only Chippy I use and hence recommend, and I am 46stone

| Is it still quicker to park on Leigh East to get away after game? Went to the England v Wales game with 9k and went to the Knights v France game with 1.5k on, took less time for the Wales game parking at East than it did for the Knights game parking at the Stadium. Would highly recommend Leigh East club house for pint, food and friendly atmosphere for anyone who hasn't been.

Think you might have East and Miners mixed up mate, Leigh East is on site at LSV and only has a very small car park of it own as it uses the main LSV car parks, Miners is about 10 minutes walk down the bypass from LSV.
Both clubs are welcoming to all.
Can't say which is better or quickest to get away from as I haven't parked on either on matchdays
