Just watched a good interview with Mr Salford.
Mentioned the stadiumand the search for a new coach all very commendable.
Then it went back to the studio only for them to say the stadium is in a great position.......they failed to say it was just down the road from a sewage works.!!!
Talk about journalistic licence.

Would that be a rented one that's built by the council ? The same council that Swinton is under ? The same council who see Swinton Lions as insignificant enough to not even include them as an option to play at a stadium built by them ?
I'd play IN the sewage works rather than be in the same position as Swinton Lions.
Have a pint of bitter....
Or some sour grapes....

I have to say it's ok.
One thing I will say for the Willows is that it is and always has been a proper Rugby ground where you can feel the intensity of the games, unlike these modern ones where half the time you have to sit down in cramped seats.
So yeah it's not to bad. |

You'd think that our squatters would be a little more gracious wouldn't you. Perhaps the fact they're top of the league is partly due to being rescued by Salford from playing in that god-forsaken hole of a yawion ground they were in last year. My brother-in-law is a Swinton fan and he said it was a souless place that could only inspire you not to go!
Whilst you are in our house I suggest you show little more politeness, gratitude and respect or you might find yourselves once again HOMELESS!!!!

Etmm a bit like you lot really yes i agree. I do however agree with your Bro in law the atmosphere in Yawion( not sure where that is) was no where near as good as it is now.
As for squatters I do believe we were invited there by your Chairman Uncle Festa. |
