| Stayed on and spoke to two clubs (maybe more) in the NRL over a move there at the end of his contract according to Sky Sports

Can we lose the big man or do we need to break the bank for him?
It's a tough decision and with no props really making an impact from our youth system i think the best we could hope for is that he signs maybe a one/two year extension to help us find a new prop worthy of Jammers #10

| I don't have a problem with one of our players going to Australia,
its perfectly understandable that anyone with ambition is going to want to give it a go.
The thing that bothers me is that three or four years on he could come back and be playing for Wigan/Warrington/Leeds.
I would prefer it if a way could be found for us to keep his UK registration so that when the time comes he comes back to us.

Morley came back from Aus signed for Wire, that's life.
What I do find interesting is your chairman moaning about the possibility of losing players. Did he moan when Wigan lost Robinson and Ashton? Did he moan about Leeds losing Ellis or Bradford losing Burgess?
Was he complaining about Cas losing Shenton or Quins losing LMS after those clubs had invested a lot of time and money in their development?
McMannus has a choice, he can pay Roby, Graham and Eastmond a big salary or risk them leaving. It really is as simple as that.

I don't remember Robinson, Ashton, Ellis or Burgess playing for Saints. When did they play for Saints?
If the chairmen of other clubs can't be bothered making a noise about losing their players then that is their problem. Good on McManus for making his feelings known about James Graham. Why should the NRL get our best players?

| Wigan sign up Tomkins and Mossop on 5 year contracts for peanuts while also signing 3 class Overseas players for a packet of uncle joes!
They're breaking the cap IMO and must be stopped!

| You'll not find anyone who can replace Graham.
However, 4 good props (perry, tony P, LMS, a replacement for Jammer and Clough, who'll be even more front row orientated by that time) will see us just as right as what we had last year (Jammer, Tony P and the admirable efforts of Bryn).

Because they will pay them more.
If Mcmanus wants to keep Graham he can, but it'll cost a lot of money. Would you pay
£200 - £250K to keep him?

Yet another thread twisted into an OAP anti-Saints rant. You should have stayed on holiday.
As long as that was within the constraints of the salary cap yes I would.
Not a concept you'd be overly familiar with I suspect.

| If players wish to leave the club its fine by me, there's always someone who steps up and carries the mantle, players who demand outlandish salaries with the threat of pushing off to pastures new in my opinion should be shown the exit ! if Graham wants to go to Australia fine that's no problem he's not that indispensable ,

Spot on!
McManus needs to grow a pair, and start acting like a CE, instead of bitching to the media. All Clubs know what the salary cap is, (even Wigan have finally grasped that concept!) so I don't really see what his problem is.
Top calibre players will always want to test themselves down under, and good luck to them. It's a short career, but has FGB thought it through?
He's gonna get ate alive by the mozzies, and be permanately blathered in facor 50. Not a pretty sight!

I'd stay in Blighty, I don't reckon he's a tropical person.
