as an interested fan could we be told once and for all:-
1.who was contracted to the club.
2.who re-signed for the club.
3.who has left the club.
4.who has signed an amended contract-if confidential ignore that-but we were
told BB did.
5.whos future is undecided.
6.why say rob w. was unavailable for odsal but yet played without
explaination.

at this stage of pre-season these questions shouldnt need to be asked.the uncertainty in the background casts a shadow over the new season for me personally and others i know agree.

The clubs PR has improved, although there is no doubt it can be better than it is, in defence of them I think they have previously said it would be a lengthy process and that its taking longer than they envisaged. I don't think we should be too hard on them here though, but I also think you have a valid point in some respects because in my opinion the occasional Blog or Mr Fax comment, whilst very welcomed, are pretty dumbed down and dilute statements. Its like being spoon fed carrot and mashed potato sometimes, its very rare i can finish reading somethings anyway...........................

If Beswick is not signed up, I would not be surprised to see Fev make an offer. DP says in the local rag that it will be a new hooker he is looking for, and if I were him BB would be the top of my list.

I am not sure this should be aimed at Mr Fax directly, more the whole PR department at the club.

The club must be aware that some fans are getting fed up with the lack of information on players such as BB and DM;

A simple press release on the squad numbers would help. We know about the lads who turned out on Sunday but what about the others?

Part of me thinks that the club are shooting themselves in the foot big style. We are the reigning champions and we should act as such on and off the park. Poor quality choice of shirt design and manufacture, additionally a distinct lack of information on certain players are not the actions of a club at the top of its game.

That been said, I will be following fax home and away as usual...

From my opinion it would be amateurish for Halifax RLFC to disclose any personal contract talks that are ongoing with players in the press, or on a forum like this!

If I was bob beswick or dom Maloney and was in the process of discussing new contracts, and the club was printing and releasing specifics about the talks, I would be a lot less likely to resign!

As for rob worrincy playin against Bradford, after MC had deemed him unavailable……..have you ever heard of this before? Coaches calling players unfit and then ended up playing?! I think so…..

personally i think its amateurish that we have had a full off-seasons training,commenced friendlies and have the northern rail in our sights and
still cant confirm whether several players are committed to 2011.
if rob was unlikely to be fit why not say so.to say unavailable with the situation
at present is a poor choice of words.
