In a rare moment of clarity "His Bobness" did correctly point out that Rovers have the ideal game a week after a Cup win in the form of Catalans at home. Unless the Dragons have a Lazarus like revival then Rovers can rest a couple and more than likely still pick up the two points.
Last year Wigan just scraped past Cas and the year before Leigh were hammered at home by Catalans (who finished second that year).
In 2016 six days after having picked up that first Wembley win we had to travel to St Helens and with Carlos, Yeamo, Sneyd and Taylor rested we were well beaten (a win there and we would have finished top). In 2017 we had to travel to Headingley on the Thurday night just five days after winning the Cup. Another loss.
Strange things can happen in rugby league but for now the stars seem to be aligning for that lot.
At least we're no longer the only side to have lost to Huddersfield.
Apart from the Challenge cup run Wire have looked off-key for the bulk of the year. Think next Saturday against us is virtually do or die for them, they have to win or it's season end for them.
