| Quote Butcher="Butcher"Delaney and Wood also off out to Hunslet, both promising players and good luck to them.
Delighted we're bringing Johnstone back but poop scared he'll be injured all the time and it'll be a big drop to our next best winger.
I'm pretty sure McMeeken will play in the middle. He's an international front rower. Hasn't played on the edge much for about three years. So if everyone's sticking around, that leaves us with McMeeken, Rodwell, Uele, Atoni, Bain, Vagana and Shaw.
That's enough middles (a middle is just a forward who 'acts' as a prop forward traditionally does. If you play a direct game, you need more middles - like Wigan, Saints and Melbourne prefer). If you play more expansively, you're more likely to put a traditional loose forward in - like Cas, Leeds and Penrith prefer.
Griffin isn't a middle.
As for a quality half in Australia - not many exist. Since I last banged on about it, Hastings has signed for Newcastle, Townsend for the Roosters, Keary for Catalans. Tyson Gamble's probably going to become available but I'd miles prefer Trueman.'"
Don’t think Bain, Boothroyd and Shaw are SL standard plus losing Bowden. I appreciate Trinity will have Storton,McMeeken and Corey Hall but think more quality is needed in the pack as it’s thin on the ground.

| Matt Ellis spoke on West Yorkshire Sport regarding recruitment
It's not going to be as extensive as last year
More evolution rather than revolution.

| Butcher Trojan Horse: ButcherShifty Cat: Yeah, I wonder if we enquired as well
I had ideas that it'd have been good to get both brothers here for next season and then Batch signed an extension for Hull KR and my enthusiasm went away
I could have sworn I looked up Joe to see what his contract was at Saints and thought he had another 2 years which also put a spanner in the works to signing both but I must have got it wrong.
Agree with that, with Smoothy coming I just feel like we could do with one statement English based signing for next season. There are players who would certainly be of interest to us like Jordan Crowther, who I think has improved as a player
Loose is a position we need to strengthen next season. Though his career has stalled somewhat Eseh could be worth a look for 2026 to develop
He’s likely going to fill out a bit too over next few years. We do not need J C does a 15/20 mins job for Wires , and i think he as not improved that much just a work horse with is defence but does not offer any thing else and suits Wires game plan .As far as lose forward is concerned Smoothy as played there, so let's get over bringing back x players, never works out They left a poor team ,we are in a stronger position so need players that can push us forwards to been in the top 6 consistently

| Listening to Liam Hoods interview sounds like he is leaving at end of season. Great player and sad to see him go but I think injuries are catching up with him. He excepts team is evolving

They left a poor team ,we are in a stronger position so need players that can push us forwards to been in the top 6 consistentlyCan’t agree with that fully. Johnstone, Hall, Pitts, Croft - all players that have returned and have a part to play in the continual development of the club. Past players are lake any other player and should be brought in if they fit what the club wants/needs and not just written because they played for us. Crowther looks physically to have matured a little and I think could be an option to offer us something in the middle at 13 A position where if Pitts gets injured we will struggle. There are a lot of players out there Just running a few through my head who could improve not just the starting13/17 but the wider squad and depth as a whole.

Just running a few through my head who could improve not just the starting13/17 but the wider squad and depth as a whole. T J was injured early in the season we got relegated and moved to Cataland and got through to Semi-finals and finals .Hall was forced out Croft had to be let go but the club because of some kind of rule .The players i am on about are players who decided they were going way before the last season in S L was half way through Player's like Hood ,Lino, Pitts and Max stood by us .And gave 100% in the Championship to get us back into the S L .We need players who can win a game for us next year if we are going to be a force in the top 6 next year This year we have a good squad that give 100% to the team and fans ,and no egos in site
