Oh sweet summer child, this is not day one of asking! I've been asking why he hasn't gone since his coronation last september when it was obvious he wasn't up to the job

| Once Fifita returned which got the fanbase back onside, that was the opportunity to change the coach and freshen things up.
Other than the 14 defeats in a row and how many nillings. Plus baffling team selection. The thing for me is he's constantly failed to bring a SL intensity to any performance. We've had some victories but only against teams who were flat or in Wires case apalling.
I was willing to give him an opportunity to work with some cap spend and bring his own team in, but last night was unforgivable.

Don’t want to play toppit but I went thread to needle on why he shouldn’t be the Head Coach and what exactly we would set up and play like under him as the man in charge. I did this before he even got the job but rumours had begun about Willie losing his Head Coach position.
Sorry to say I was 100% correct!
Has he gone yet

| As far as I'm aware, all three that are bringing the club down are still here.
I don't think this two will let Applegarth go, but I'm not sure changing things now, will have much of a bearing.
What should have happened, is Applegarth going sooner, probably around the defeat at MW, or maybe a bit earlier. That way, any new coach could have turned things around a bit sooner.
However, whether we stay up or not, I feel that a new coach is needed regardless of which division we find ourselves in, but not go for the cheap option, buy cheap, buy twice. We at least need someone who already has decent coaching pedigree

| I hope Applegarth treated last night's game as day dot and Cas merely have a head start from what was the remaining half dozen games. I know we've been garbage for the majority of the season but I can see at least three (usually) winnable games.
Salford A - Winnable. Beaten once and came very close to beating twice, only losing in golden point.
Saints H - Winnable. Always seem to do well at home against Saints and have had some good recent results.
Catalans H - Can't see anything coming from this game other than a major suffering of our points difference.
Leigh A - No chance.
Hull KR H - Winnable. I think Hull KR's season might now slowly fizzle out after the cup defeat.

| We aren’t favourites to win any of our remaining games however there’s always a chance of a lightning bolt from the blue and a result that none saw coming and that’s our only hope! Even if that happens we’ve got to hope that Cas don’t win another game and also take a number of hidings that will negate the points difference.
What a sad sorry state we are in and it’s was predicted that we’d end up here back in Sept 22

| Even if we do stay up, which after last night looks even more doubtful, we need better. Four wins and a battle at the bottom isn't good enough year in year out. Let Long take over, his win rate at Fev shows he certainly knows how to orchestrate a team.

| This is the thing that always frustrates me.
If we have big investment we don't go for an assistant coach who has never been head coach in SL.
If we are going to change we need a coach with lots of proven experience or an up and coming NRL assistant who is recommended.

| This sounds like you think the appointment of Long lacks ambition because we may have an investor with money. I would think until the deal is done no one would invest a large amount of money without some control.
It may be we bring in an experienced NRL coach when the incumbents depart who knows but the chances are certainly improved greatly.
