Did anyone hear the radio Yorkshire commentator say we have dropped the Trinity? He did call us wildcats all game

If someone at the helm takes the decision to drop Trinity then it would signify to me that they don't have a clue about the heritage of the club and are massively out of touch with their fan base.

I can't imagine that being true. Everybody knows how important our heritage is.
I'd protest that decision if they did it.

I'm of the opinion that the 'Wildcats' tag has run its course, it's tainted by the negatives of the past 19 years which coincidentally is when it was adopted.

It adds nothing and we'll lose nothing if we ditch it, it was never needed and like Sts we had a very recognisable and unique name already.

Trinity on the other hand is our tradition and heritage it was a poor decision to relegate it in favour of the Wildcats nickname.

Cannot see anyone so out of touch as to take this decision. But if true they will certainly have done a great job in alienating the vast majority of the supporters that are left to give a damn!!

Agree totally and I think most fans would agree with this. The only saving grace with the wildcats tag is that one of the other names bandied about at the time it was adopted was, I recall, Wakefield Trinity Tornadoes!

Obviously changing it without telling the fans and thinking no one will notice or give a .....

But MC knows our feelings on the matter or should do by now, our heritage means a lot
