4049 has a cas fan looking at that figure playing in a west yorkshire derby and first home game of season it looks a complete embarresment for you, iwould of thought with now limited capacity (i believe its 5333) it would be packed to that number and very hard to get a ticket, but as wakey fans would you blame it being on sky, a thursday game (people with work commitments) bad off season or all mentioned to why so low, and how many did bradford take.

The poor attendance is down to a number of things. Apathetic public, supporters not wanting to pay the going price for a season ticket, people taking their ball home due to off field issues. A Thursday night TV game will always lower the attendance figure Iand I woukd guess the Bulls brought a maximum of 400 or so.

A bad turn out from both teams fans when after such a bad off season and your team needs you most all wakey got is 4049

First chance you've had to troll in 10 years (including a few out of SL) so enjoy it whilst it lasts even if it's off the back of a Bradford win and an over zealous health and safety man

What were Cas' attendances towards the end of the Millward era?

Bradford brought a couple of hundred at most, probably not even that. The dodgy weather yesterday afternoon and early evening didn't help and would of put some off, especially with it being on sky. Thursday night games aren't going to be possible for some people to make as well. And actually the reduced capacity could well put people off attending who don't have a ticket in case they can't get in once there. Throw in the off the field problems then, whilst disappointing, the low attendance its not a surprise.

I wasn't surprised really - it'll be interesting to see the comparison this year to see how many got in for nowt.

Think a lot of bradford fans are in the same boat - totally enamoured and couldn't be bothered travelling - especially running the risk of not getting in.

4000 is poor but at least they're 4000 paying customers

I think maybe that maybe last years season ticket offer was too good to miss and paying two hundred this years seems unacceptable to some not so hardcore fans is another issue will find this year

either way mate, 4000 who pay (on avergae) £12 quid each is better than 6000 that pay £7

It's the same old theory isn't it - as long as it's done reyt then you've a base and foundation to build. Resting on your laurels with 8000 crowds is fine, but not if half of them don't pay.

Not only that, it's a binary (I think that's the word) effect it has. if one guy brings one mate for nowt, then 1=2=4=8=16=32=64 etc

THEN you end up with paying customers thinking - hang on, why am I paying 180 quid a season when all these round me are paying naff all???

Maybe they are going off actual clicks of the turnstyles this year rather than just guessing.

But it needs pointing out that clicks of the turnstlys wont include corporates or anyone who went through Cats so you could probably add 500 or so on.
