| Wasn't at the game yesterday, but heard that Joel was sin-binned by Ganson for dissent. Apparently penalty had already been awarded to Wigan.
Was the decision reversed and a penalty awarded to Quins? Or did the original penalty stand?
Will Ganson be so strict if and when he referees a Saints game ( probably against Wigan in the Play-Offs as he did last year!) and KFC or James Graham show dissent as they have been regularly doing - last week and in other Sky games I've seen.

Yes he reversed the penalty.

| Reversing the penalty is typical of Ganson - decisions like that can clearly alter the course of a game ( Wigan were only 8 -0 up at the time!). Instead of attacking the Quins line, Wigan were defending theirs. Fortunatley Quins didn't score while Wigan were down to 12 men - but that's no thanks to Ganson.
Would Ganson have sin-binned KFC last week for dissent? I know Bentham penalised him, but ....!

| So you weren't at the game but you're in a position to know what Joel said and how he said it? There's a difference between questioning a decision and swearing/shouting at a ref.
"Everyone's against us" seems to be a common theme on this forum at the moment.

| At the end of the day Joel shouldnt have spoke to the ref, any other ref probably wouldnt have give it but Joel should have known better.

| If there is any ref you don't talk back to it's Ganson. I think we'd been penalised a couple of times for dissent before the sin bin so it's no real suprise that Joel saw yellow.

| Ganson is a fool.
If a grown man can't take someone swearing at him without getting all pedantic then he's even more of an idiot than I thought.
Bentham got it correct last week with with Graham. He simply had a word with him & told him 2 calm down. It's a game of rugby ffs! Tempers flair in the heat of the moment and all Ganson needed 2 do was have a quiet word with Joel but that has never been Gansons style as his ego won't allow it.
No need for a yellow card no matter what Joel said

| Obviously I don't want to see any of our players being sin binned, but if they are shouting/swearing/arguing with referees then surely there can't be any complaints? Just watch any game of football and you'll see the way players act when there is no penalty for dissent! I couldn't make it to the game yesterday because of work, and so can't comment on this exact incident, but i'm getting a bit annoyed with people constantly looking to blame referees/a.n.other factor for incidents in our games. Whether it was Ganson, Bentham or any other ref, players shouldn't be arguing decisions. Personally i'm enjoying watching some quality rugby and seeing my team top of the league, deservedly!!

There was 4 seconds left on the clock when it happened so neither team would have got much of an advantage.

| Ganson had already given three penalties in the game for dissent. Joel should have had the common sense to keep his mouth shut.
