Given the recent performances and results, i think its time for Brian Noble to leave the warriors hotseat and give someone else with new ideas a try. Since he step into the breach a few years ago now, Wigan are no further forward or even look like challenging for some silverware. The team is lacking of confidence and always look short of ideas going forward, surely this is down to what they learn on the training ground during the week and should take it out onto the field when playing the opposition. Yes he kept us up from relagation when we looked dead and burried, but for a team like Wigan and the superb following that they have week after week we deserve better.[/i

| Another one thinking we have a right to challenge for trophies and beat every team. Face up to the fact we are no longer the only good team in the league. We are mid table and have been for years.

But surely a bit of consistency and some entertaining rugby isn't too much to ask for?

Just playing devils advocate here as I'm not sure whether we should get rid or not, but hasn't he signed or re-signed most of the players in the squad now? If so, he's signed players who he doesn't think are quality or he's a bad judge of player quality?

True but 3 years ago we were on the brink of relegation and brought Noble in to 'save us'. Some knew of his boring Rugby from Bradford and their bully tactics (we were on the receiving end in two Grand Finals) and it worked then but sadly it doesn't work with our team for various reasons. I think he does an 'ok' job with what we have on the field though some of Noble's signings have been complete rubbish and I also feel he is falling out of touch with modern Super League.

Other than the Bradford game we have been remarkably consistent this season

| I'm getting to the point now where I actually want us to sack Noble and bring in one of these so-called superstar coaches out there in to the club just to have some different topics on here. When the same results span out people might wake up to the fact that the players we have aren't as good as we think they are.
Out of our squad I would say only Hock (on his day) is world class. The only other world class player we had last season left and wasn't replaced. The rest I would describe as average with some at best falling into a better than average category.
There's some potential world class players in the youngsters coming through but they aren't there yet. I think the Bradford performance was as good a performance as we're gonna get from this team and even that performance wouldn't have been good enough to beat Saints or Leeds.
Unfortunately fanbase and club history don't win you trophies, players do and unfortunately we don't have the right calibre of players at the moment.
You could argue well Noble has signed these players but I think it's more a case of he's had to settle for them because no one else is available or affordable under IL, ie we've gone for quantity rather than quality.

yes he is falling out of touch with modern super league...........thats why he should step down and give the job to someone with more ideas especially now that game is getting quicker every year. The problem is who do we bring in??? we have the money available if you read what the papers are saying about karmichel hunt for instance. I would personally like to see if we could tempt a certain Mr Shaun Edwards to the job!

Third season, it's his team. He needs to manage that team and stop making excuses for his failings in player recruitment.

| It's only worth getting rid of Noble if there's someone obviously better who's in a position to take the job. Change for change's sake will just create more inconsistency. I don't think it's any co-incidence that our fall into mediocrity was at a time when we employed a ludicrous number of coaches in the early-mid part of this decade.
There were many in the crowd who were clamouring for Denis Betts' head at a time when we had a bad run of form, and actually sang Millward's name in Betts last match - look how that turned out...
