| Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere but I can't find it. Is there only one TV game for the next round?

| BBC cut back to one game in round 4 and one in round 5 last year but showed 2 quarter finals (1st pick and 3rd pick of the 4) and then both SFs and the Final. They are doing the same again this year (the current deal runs until 2016 so probably same each year until then).
Last year Sky showed 1 game in round 4, 1 in round 5 and then one of the quarter finals (they had 2nd pick and the option to show the Leigh v Leeds QF as 4th pick but declined to do so).
This year Sky for whatever reason have decided not to show a game in round 4 or round 5 and will only show either 1 or 2 quarter finals (they again have 2nd pick and then have the option to show the 4th choice QF though they may not opt to show it).

| Shocking that, the best game on TV last year was Sky's Fev vs Cas then Fev vs Wigan!

| Mickey Mouse comp, you'll notice by the attendances this weekend no one is really interested in it until at least semi-final stage.
BBC have done the right thing.

| That's a shame, I'd have liked to have seen whether Fev can cause an upset v London. Alright the stadium would be fairly empty but it would be a good game and would capture the magic of the cup

Which is a very sad state of affairs if you ask me

| It will be interesting to see the crowd figures on Friday.
The C Cup doesn't attract big crowds, final apart but neither do the GF play off series.
Our two home games last year were 7200 v Catalans and 8200 v Leeds.
Hardly a staggering endorsement of the current play offs.
The C Cup needs re-structuring.

How do you re-structure a knockout cup?

Well currently it goes:
Round 3 (36 teams):
11 Community Clubs who won in R2
23 Championship teams
Toulouse
Lezignan
Round 4 (32 teams):
18 R3 Winners
14 Super League teams
then knockout from there
They could go:
Round 3 (32 teams):
7 Community Clubs
23 Championship teams
Toulouse
Lezignan
Round 4 (16 teams):
16 R3 winners
Round 5 (8 teams):
8 R4 winners
Round 6 (4 teams):
4 R5 winners
Round 7 (16 teams):
2 R6 winners
14 Super League teams
then knockout from there
Let me make it clear I wouldn't want them to do this, but it is a way to restructure the cup so there aren't as many thrashings

Maybe Father Ted meant re-structure as in getting rid of the big gap between round 5 and the Quarter Finals to restore a sense of momentum to a cup run. Rather than re-structure in the sense of reformatting the way the competition is played.

I too would not want such a format to ever be adopted. It would take away the one chance the majority of semi pro sides get of having a big money making draw. It would also for fans (and players) of the non SL teams have the feel of building to a cup final that never happened as just as they get down to the last two they then get a likely pasting at the hands of of a FT team rather than the big day out and a shot at silverware.
