There’s a certain grittiness to the name although it’s as artificial as the Broncos name but one thing we can all agree on the ladies team would have to be on drugs to accept the name.
Let’s look at the pros and cons. Name change bins brand recognition but on the other hand our BR is low. Hounds is similar to Broncos in that it’s a bit bizarre - no obvious reason to rename - dog track link aside. Hounds is a bit grittier and different than Broncos but it’s marginal. All branded stuff is binned necessitating expense. I don’t hate it but I’m not sure of the benefits and then there is the women’s team aspect. I’m ambivalent about that but they do seem to be quite successful so, on balance, I don’t get it.
