Bernhard Guasch has probably decided that 40 point hammerings, being outside of the playoffs in the league, losing more games than they win is just not good enough for their squad quality and expenditure. Can't blame him for that - in fact it's a quality to be admired.

| Their management has been pretty patient really. He's had virtually eight years. They have swopped so many players over that period & it's not done the trick. Catalan's attack was poor last year and despite a cull of players it's as bad this year. If they had got to Wembley he probably would have kept his job for while.

Lots of posters here say we have a smattering of star quality but too many spot fillers/has beens who wouldn't get a game at Wigan or HKR.

Some players who fit that category that have made 1st team appearances : Holroyd (can't knock his effort but he's not big enough) Russell Crowther Musgrove (has the attributes but can't make the 17 regularly) Tai Leyland Johnson Ratchford

| Hang on, are we writing off Holroyd now because we lost against Wakefield? He's only 20 FFS and holding his own against Super League opposition, many of the top forwards in RL were still playing reserves rugby at that age.
Some dreadful stuff gets written on here in a bid to sound 'ruthless'.

Agreed. I can only assume it to be rage bait, so trying to avoid it!

How you react to a contrary opinion is soooo predictable and combative. I often wonder why. Anyway the discussion was about "squad quality" and "players who wouldn't get a game for Wigan or Hull KR". I don't believe he is big enough currently to hold a place in the 17 of an alleged title aspirant side, you think he is holding his own. I believe that there is not a chance in hell he would get in Wigan's or Hull KR's pack currently, you are presumably arguing he would. So we disagree - and that's fine. Plenty of posters on here will share my view, no doubt plenty share yours. Hardly "dreadful" stuff and I never wrote him off nor do I seek to sound "ruthless". I'm not convinced it's "rage bait" either. But if you two think those players are going to deliver us a GF win, I think you are wrong but good luck to you.

Anyway the discussion was about "squad quality" and "players who wouldn't get a game for Wigan or Hull KR". The discussion was about "Catalan" not about the quality of Wire's squad. You hijacked it to give us one of your lists again.

| The thing that stands out to me is that, if you look at Hull KR's main forwards:-
Tanginoa, Batchelor, Hadley, Luckley, Minchella, Whitehead
These are all guys who have been up and down the league's, milled around at lower SL clubs, probably been written off as journeymen.
Under Wires71's view of the world, all of these players should have been fired as soon as they lost one game or had one off performance.
In reality, Wigan and Hull KR are ahead of us because they don't go into existential panic as soon as they have an off-day, they just move on quickly and believe in what they're doing.
Certain fans on here have a firing squad lined up each time we lose.
