I thought it was bad at the time and with the offene happening after he scored then it should have been an 8 point try. I know they are very rarely given nowadays (if ever) but that was one instance when it should have been given.

Wasnt even close to being an 8 point try, stupid play from Tomkins but i enjoyed it considering a few of your players think its ok to hit a kicker late. Dont see you complaining about those...

Whilst I understand it was a frustrating point of the game considering Wigan's onslaught was only rewarded with 6 points, it clearly was a cheap shot! It was unnecessary and could have been worse too. He seemed to pat Myler a couple of times upon realising what he'd done, as an apology.

Suppose in a game like that, emotion is skyward. Not that I condone elbow's to the face.

Our players didnt hit the kicker late on a couple of occasions morley closed the kicker down and turned his hips into him to put him off... no harm done

So thats why we got a few penalties out of them is it??? Not defending Tomkins one bit, it was late and unnecessary but what does make me laugh is you lot will whinge about that but think its ok when our guys get hit late. Abit of balanced opinions are needed here...

there were a couple of minor late challenges on the kicker.. which were penalised with penalties... no further action needed... it happens alot.

obviously the authorities decided that dropping onto someones face elbow first, SECONDS after the try was scored deserved more punishment... and they are correct.

Morley didnt get penalised did he?(sorry if im wrong) i know that carvell got penalised but you said on the kicker and his was just off the ball(which im not saying it fine)

There were some late hits I agree. But they weren't too bad. Penalty sufficient in my opinion. If Carvell had led straight into Tomkin's head and knocked him clean out, I'd expect a red card. But nothing there to justify any more punishment.

Cue a list of disgruntled Pie munchers saying it was Eddie Hemmings and the rest of his Sky cronies getting Tomkins charged. It's always Sky's fault...they hate us....Eddie's always had it in for us....Eddie is a Wire fan (NO HE'S NOT) etc
