Your guess is correct. I am a big Roosters fan. Some people even consider me a rooster booster.

But that goes back a long way. It was before I knew about the club's French connection.
In case you don't know, the current main Roosters jersey (navy blue with red and white V) which has been around for 60 years, was originally modelled on the French jersey of the 1950s. Similarly the label the Tricolours, which was common until the 1990s, was copied from the French, who had two magnificent tours of Australia in 1951 and 1955. Also the rooster (le coq) was the icon of the French team.
The club has reached a new degree of affinity for France with the signing of French prop Remi Casty. I suspect that next off season many of the club's players will take a vacation in France with their new team mate.
