| Rumoured to be being pursued by Wigan for next season. He's at Bath Rugby Union but his Union career got off to a familiar start with several minor injuries hampering his progress. He got one substitute appearance in the first team I believe in shocking conditions and didn't really do much. He doesn't strike me as the kind of player to work hard enough to adapt.
I wouldn't be surprised to see him back in Super League next season. He's still the finest player produced by Super League in the last 10 years.

I think Mr Tomkins might just disagree with you there.

I really hope that's the case. If he could rediscover the form he showed before he left, our (England's) scrum-half problem would be solved instantly.

I knew he was at Bath but I'd just heard nothing about him in the last 6 months

None, it's just my opinion. Talent-wise he's the best I've ever seen come through to Super League. Obviously not a better player than Tomkins as one works hard and is committed and the other hasn't matured yet, but I'd say he was more talented. There is nothing Eastmond couldn't do, he had it all to be a magnificent player in terms of ability.

You're kidding right?
Eastmond is one of many players that comes through the ranks in English RL that is an athlete first and rugby player second, every time I saw him play he had next to no passing game and zero kicking game.
Talent wise he isn't a patch on Tomkins, In fact the likes of Daryl Clark probably have more natural RUGBY talent.

| think I saw on twitter a few weeks ago that he was nearing fitness again, but as the RU season ends soon (maybe has ended already?) I guess it will be next season before he gets a game again.

He couldn't tackle Karl Pryce.
In fact, he couldn't do much after Karl Pryce ran over him like a little girl.
Oh, sorry, i'm wrong, he did do something-he sulked for half a season in the u20's.

As a Leeds fan i remind people of Chev Walker and Lee Smith returning to RL from union, not a pretty picture.
