It's closer to Valley Parade than Odsal. But it would help to know where you're coming from and how you're getting to Bradford in order to direct you.
But good choice on North Parade. You've got The Sparrow, The Record Cafe and The Beer House as well as The Bradford Brewery just round the corner on Rawson Road. There's also a number of new bars in the Old Windsor Baths, which are just up the road from the Alhambra - The Bier Keller and the Brewhaus

| Can anyone recommend somewhere close"ish" to the stadium that does pub grub and real ale for a visit before the game this Sunday?

| The Top House does a decent pint of ale. It'll be rammed though.

There's the Jacobs Well pub, pretty much bang in the (although well hidden) which has a good selection of beers on, and there's a weatherspoons and a couple of buffet places in the city for food too.
If you're driving (or getting someone else to drive while you sup) the Fighting Cock is a top old beery pub (albeit without any scran) and the Corn Dolly is a top boozer too (although I'm not sure they do food). Google 'em for maps.
With North Parade I'm sure all the bars will be open after the game, but I'm not sure they will be open before, as I think they all open at about 4-ish.
These are all quite a way from our iconic hole in the ground however.

| There is a Toby Carvery off Rooley Lane (the other way from Odsal on the ring road, but only 5 minutes drive away) but that'll be pretty busy too.

I'd suggest the Bradford Brewery. They do real ale and a bloody good pie. It's off North Parade in the city centre, but it's easy enough to get up to Odsal from there

| The bus up to Odsal from the town centre leaves from right outside Jacobs Well.
The pies in Bradford Brewery are superb. Lovely mash too.
