See Hull have let Caldy go

I know on a previous thread I berated Caldy for chasing the Pies Pound when he left but ....

If we are looking for some speed to replace Donald Caldy may actually be worth a look. I know he has had injuries but hvaing watched a bit of teh academy Im not convinced there is anyone ready to step into Donalds shoes yet.

We could of course play Watkins or BJB there but as its not their natural positions that would seem silly. I also know we have Smith who will most likely play there looking at our squad right now.

Anyone else think Caldy might not be a bad option?

I was a big fan of Calderwood at Leeds but there has been a lot of water under the bridge since he last wore the blue & amber. He's not done much since he left (barring a superman-esque display against us in one of the play-offs a few seasons ago). Think it would be a step backwards for the club to sign him - what message doe it send to the youngsters coming through at the club?

Leeds won't even look at him.

Next year is 2011 not 2003.

That none of our young wingers are good enough yet? Think its a fair message having watched them a bit. Not saying none of them will make it but they aren't ready yet.

They're a darned sight more ready than someone who will spend half the season limping between the treatment room and a seat in the stand.

You know as well as anyone that if Leeds (or indeed any club) were to sign any player there are medicals etc to go through.
