It's interesting how a return from injury can feel like a new signing. Gannon and Holroyd have felt like that this season. Hopefully Sivo, Simpson and McCormack will feel like that next year.
As Arthur says, a NRL backrower would be great to replace Gannon. I think most of us were a bit worried about the BR at the start of the season, but Gannon so far has been brilliant coming back from injury, and I'm worried about only going with McDonell and Bentley for next year, and I'd rather keep Kal in the middle of the park where he's been brilliant.
This year I’d focus on the pack, a Prop (if Lisone goes), a Second Row (with Gannon leaving) and if we get the chance for a really good hooker I’d tell Ackers he’s free to go as he won’t be getting a new deal.
Next year I’d look at the backs, a Winger (with real pace to replace Hall), perhaps a Strike Centre unless Newman really continually hits his straps.
Otherwise it’s time to bring the kids through, they will be there or thereabouts ready, and we need to find out what other spots we need to look at so we have got to play them somehow.
He`s not doing well with injuries these last couple of years. Nevertheless a very good prospect that I hope we have a deal in place to take him back should he return from the NRL.
Gannon got the Stevie Ward vibes, talented but too injury prone, can’t see him having a long career, maybe dodged a bull it as if he had resigned it would be in a massive long term deal.

He didn't sign a deal that would have kept him here, why would he have signed up to one that commits him to returning?
