Jock Madden? Don’t know much about him but heavily linked with us as mid season signing
Not sure about these signings such as Hastings and Madden. If we do recruit one of them then where does that leave one of Croft or Connor? For me Croft/Connor with Sinfield as back up is enough I don`t see the merit in getting another halfback unless Croft is leaving.
I agree.
One with pace? All those three can pass and kick but sticking a burrow or an early career mcguire type into the mix would give defences something else to worry about. I don't know whether madden's a runner, mind, and not sure hastings ever was.
This year I’d focus on the pack, a Prop (if Lisone goes), a Second Row (with Gannon leaving) and if we get the chance for a really good hooker I’d tell Ackers he’s free to go as he won’t be getting a new deal.
Next year I’d look at the backs, a Winger (with real pace to replace Hall), perhaps a Strike Centre unless Newman really continually hits his straps.
Otherwise it’s time to bring the kids through, they will be there or thereabouts ready, and we need to find out what other spots we need to look at so we have got to play them somehow.
He`s not doing well with injuries these last couple of years. Nevertheless a very good prospect that I hope we have a deal in place to take him back should he return from the NRL.
Gannon got the Stevie Ward vibes, talented but too injury prone, can’t see him having a long career, maybe dodged a bull it as if he had resigned it would be in a massive long term deal.

He didn't sign a deal that would have kept him here, why would he have signed up to one that commits him to returning?
