However, his prediction was most likely made last week, as he says... [i"They’ll improve a bit, even without bringing anyone new in. His table looks similar to how i would have it. Leeds at 6th as things stand seems reasonable, it's really hard to make a case for much higher than 5th or 6th unless you are in complete denial.

No amount of tinkering or emphasis on defence can alter the fact that Leeds current spine of 1,6,7 and 9 is awful... Golding, Sutcliffe, Lilley, Stretcher Boy (who will probably miss half the season) and Burrow.
As always, Leeds fate is also dependent upon the rest of the SL competition, which, for the most part is also pants. But the majority of them do appear to employ a better spine than Leeds.
If there are no additions to the current squad, I'm thinking lower, around 8th to 10th.

| 6th seems about right, with a bit of fluidity up and down for keeping/replacing Segeyaro, as well as whether other teams improve or drop.
Can't see us in the middle eights again, but think we'll have a real scrap for top 4.

| It's so difficult to predict the form of a lot of teams in the league. Most do 180 degree turnarounds every season.
Agree that our position depends on other teams, our fate is definitely not in our own hands as the squad simply isn't good enough.
6th seems most plausible but I would not be surprised to see us 3rd or 4th after the regular rounds.

| I think that it's unsafe to make any predictions until much nearer the start of the season when squads are fixed & the injury situation is known.

Is that your prediction for the time being..?
I am interested to see who other teams sign in the meantime as it sounds from what I read on here that we are not going to be getting anyone in...

| On paper without Segeyaro its hard to see us in the top 4 unless one of the other teams implodes. It is difficult to predict though - you can make realistic looking scenarios for anywhere from 3rd to last.

| 6th isn't a bad punt I reckon. If it comes to pass it'll be interesting to see the intent shown by the club with regard to getting back to the big time.

| I think we'll scrape into the Super 8's, and I'd be more than happy with that as it stands. As Brisbane says we'd need some serious implosions or meltdowns from a few teams to be in with a chance of the top 4, and I can't see that happening.

| Unfortunatley for Hetherington and Mac failure in my opinion is anywhere outside the top 4 . Only Wigan and Wire are sure top 4 positions with possibly Saints as third best leaving us to finish above Hull and Cas for the 4th spot . I doubt any other team are capable of gatecrashing the four . Whilst our (ex) hooker has created a problem which some of us saw coming we had enough excuses to last us a lifetime last season and expectations of the best supported club in the league should be far higher than what they seem at the moment .
