Totally agree, think were getting some of the recruitment wrong tbh. And I don't mean the players by name, mainly the type.

With the Non-Fed rules changing to allow 7 players now, it does allow us to look for the right players that can be classed as Marquee signings. Local players tend to play for their local club for less money than they would if they went elsewhere, so we should be able to allocate salary cap to attract players here. Doesnt seem to be happening really, we are linked with players that fans of that club dont mind losing - Paea as an exception

Now that we have a Football Manager in charge of recruitment lets hope for some news of signings soon.
