I feel Hull should try and tempt Tommy Martyn out of retirement. Him and Longy were a great partnership in their day.

I agree we should be signing Martyn but I don't think Longy's ready yet. I feel we should be tempting Goulding out of retirement to partner Tommy.

In the Australia team for the Anzac Test were Lockyer (32), Civoneciva (33) and Price (35).

TBH I'm more interested in how players perform than how many candles they have on their birthday cake.

We do have plenty of youngsters at the club, and depending on how recruitment pans out a number could be featuring next season. I doubt the average age of the squad will get too high.

Yeah totally, Bradfords policy of running a (politely put) very experienced squad has helped them enormously. It's probably the best Bradford side I've seen in the super league. Hopefully we can tempt Macca here and then we have some seriously exciting times ahead.

Hull will have an old squad but what they should do is replace these older players with players from the youth teams over the next couple of years and build a team which will be playing together for a long time. I'm not saying it's wrong to have older players it's good to have a few to pass on their experience as long as you don't just keep replacing them with other older player.

Jason Smith was 33 when he 'retired' from super league, yet he managed to play another 58 games in the NRL for Canberra and NQ over another 3 seasons

'Clever' players can play longer, as they no longer rely on their pace they may have had.
