| Although the offer has been extended, I do hope that Cougar supporters will buy their tickets before the deadline.
That said, I can see an awful amount of confusion and bad-feeling this coming season when supporters of other clubs in acertain age group (60 to 65) attempt to gain entry at 'concessionary prices'.
Whilst the supporters of Halifax and Featherstone only have to be 'over 60' for their concessionary Season Ticket prices the general view of other Championship clubs is rather confusing:
Batley - out of date information - February 2010!
Dewsbury - £60, but no age limit given
Leigh - no age limit given
Sheffield Eagles - £75, but no age limit given
as is the case with York, Swinton and Hunslet.
Can anyone at the Club advise what the situation will be when fans from our opponents arrive thinking that they are able to gain access on a concessionary basis when they are over 60 but under 65? I'm only glad that I won't have to explain the situation to them!
When ladies are deemed to be pensioners by the Government at 60 why can't they be treated as such by the Cougars?
When BDMC allows residents aged over 60 to have a 'Passport to Leisure' then aren't the Cougars 'cutting off their nose to spite their face' when they have set the Concessionary age limit for Season Tickets at 65 but will still allow supporters with a 'Passport to Leisure' to gain access on a concessionary basis when supporters (over 60) outside the BDMC area are penailised?
How many more Season Tickets could have been sold had this not been the case and the age limit for 'Concessions' had been set at 60?

| As a fellow member of the 'grey army' can I echo this and say that frequently at grounds nobody seems to know when concessioner start, sixty or sixty-five? If you are over 60 and often on a reduced income it is a lot to pay full price.

| I really do appreciate Gary's video and I have already paid my deposit for my Season Ticket but I would have thought that he would have addressed my query about the confusion that persists. Had the Season Tickets been sold on the same/similar basis to previous years then more might have been sold and the 399 break-point achieved. I still feel sorry for ladies aged between 60 and 65 who appear to have been treated badly and for those who do not have access to the 'Passport for Leisure' as they live outside the BDMC area.

| I agree with 666 in that it's nice for the club to update fans on the up to date figures. I don't know about everyone else, but I have to say I am a tad dissapointed that we are only at 300 tickets sold. Don't get me wrong, I never thought we'd hit the 799 figure, but thought we'd hit 399 at least.

| Just a further point which piggy backs the concessions thread really. I note from the Cougars website when trying to buy season tickets for Juniors the age quoted is 6 to 16 years, however, I have heard that children aged 5 will be required to pay the juniors entry fee, £5 etc and will qualify for the £30 season ticket's. I m going to seek clarification from the club, but if like me you have some under 6's maybe you can save some money by buying the £30 season ticket for them.
I think the whole concessions admission needs clearing up so fans know at what age you will qualify etc. If/when I get a response from the club I will post on here.

| Regarding season tickets. I sent a text to Wendy and she replyed "that they would be ready on Monday".

| So why is the [i'silence deafening' [/ifrom [i'the powers that be' [/iat Cougar Park to the questions being asked by loyal fans?
Either they want loyal fans to support the Cougars or they don't?
Is anyone interested in maximising income before the season starts?
'LOYALTY' is a two-way thing and must be seen to be so.
I've paid my £60 and it looks as though I will pay another £60 for many games that I will be unable to attend. It is a pity that the mnagement don't understand basic economics and the effects of existing arrangements that are only available to BDMC residents and how they affect those loyal fans who live outside BDMC, of which there are many!

| I find it a bit odd that there has only been 331 season tickets sold , especially as the club has gone up a division. I presumed (wrongly) that there would be a lot more sold than that and personally think that is a poor figure to achieve.
Would be interested to know the ratio of last seasons s.ticket holders who have bought for this season and also how many new s.ticket holders there are.

| Possible clarification of "juniors". Despite what the website says when you try and buy a season ticket, a child aged 5 and over will be expected to pay £5 admission or buy the season ticket at £30. No brainer really. Under 5's will, I presume, be allowed in for free.
As for concessions - ??????????????????

I am a new season ticket holder, I just used to pay on the gate but I think £14 every week was a bit much plus add food and petrol from Halifax and It would be about £20.00.
My mate who I go with hasn't bothered with a season ticket this time but got one last year..... I too think its poor we have only sold 331. Has the deadline now passed?
