| 4000 crowd against one of the biggest names in RL is simply not good enough.
I remember my first quins game about 3 or 4 years ago, they played Saints and got 8000 watching.
In 3 or 4 years they have gone backwards in a huge way.
I suppose having half the ground shut and the team playing with no pride/passion doesn't help.

.....and you think we have been consistently attracting crowds of that size do you or was that a "one off"? I will leave that to you to decide.
Warrington once played a game in front of 104 K and thats a conservative estimate-they now get 10K weekly, shall we make a judgment on there current performance based on a "one off" crowd.
For me we have gone forwards as we are now selling pies at games and have 2 mascots. Thats about as significant as your one eyed post.

| I am comparing it to when they played St. Helens on a summers day 4 years ago.
Yesterdays game they played Saints on a summers day.
The timeline of 4 years is a fair length to judge on how the crowds are doing at quins.
I think you are rather silly if you cannot use that as a comparrison.

We've had two mascots for as long as I can remember, and when we played at The Valley they used to ride up and down the touchline on mini-scooters firing water pistols into the crowd, which they no longer do, so we've actually gone backwards in this respect. No wonder we can't pull bigger crowds!

| So you think comparing a one off, unusually high crowd which we haven't got within 50% of for the 4 years before and the 4 years after a fair comparison of how a business is performing.
Fine, thats your call.
As I say I judge the performance of a business on how many mascots they have.... and we have 2 which is a tremendous effort
Ps may I refer you to some of Guterfax's posts which in detail outlines London RL's crowds for the past 20 years. Come back when you've done your research.............I think once you've done that you will join me in congratulating the club on maintaining two healthy horses.

| Over a 4 year timeline you would think year on year the attendance for the Saints fixture would be around the same mark.
Draw this on a graph and tell me what pattern you get, thats how a business would judge how a product is doing.
In this case, it is not going very well.

May I firstly apologise for not making myself clear. The 8000 crowd you refer to was a [u one off unusually high crowd [/uthat is double our average for that and other seasons since, which includes the usual 4000 crowd we get against Saints year on year.
To undertake a fair year on year comparison of crowds in general or saints alone if you wish to be specific, you would need to leave the 8000 figure out as it was an unusually high one off crowd
As I say see some of GF's posts as he has the figures match by match year by year.
Please dont compare the Huddersfield crowds as we had double header(with RU) and there was something like 14000 tickets sold for that. We played Hudds a few weeks ago and got our usual 4000 crowd not the unusually high one off crowd we got against saints a few years ago.

How many did we (saints) take down? Was it our usual size of crowd or did we take fewer and, in fact, Quins have more than usual turn up?

You clearly don't know anything about statistical analysis so I would avoid digging yourself into a deeper hole.

Agree its pointless doing comparisons with any of the 'one off' type events
The problem still exists that crowds are disappointing and although the last few have been 4000 ish, two of the three were against the top 2 which should always be a draw for floating fans
Home matchers against Bradford and Salford will show whether 4000 is sustainable. I have my doubts as its back in the soccer season but time will tell
Lets hope their is some decent marketing to support these games which a re very key in terms of the play offs

Probably about usual, but certainly not as many as for the 8,000 total attendance for the first match as Harlequins, which included easily the biggest visiting contingent for any SL match I've seen in London.
