why all the chants and lines of 'sign him up' when he is signed till the end of 2016?

maybe it is true he is going but they will have to pay if so , if not then all the chants are just daft. sure the club will negotiate when its time too, last i read from jerry is that he was enjoying his rugby, lets not cause unnecessary unrest

If he does go and we get some money for him who are we going to buy with that money?

There's not a better winger than Jerry who we could sign. Simple as that.

I understand why some players contracts are allowed to run down before a decision is made, but surely Jerry is in a very small group of players who should be given a contract as the 1st opportunity!

Lads underrated by other teams! The flair of penny, ormsby. Power of hall, carney. Speed of charley and swift take the plaudits. Jerry is one of the top kick returners, he has a good try scoring record. Lads got good pace and can make a break, also owned the other power winger in carney.
I think teams like ours have the fear of our better players being poached as the lure of Wigan Leeds and saints must be hard to reject as there is a greater chance of winning things in honesty.
But as brealy says we have him for another year unless they come in with the cash!

Agree 100% Adamhuddsgiant but would like to add he is a player that obviously loves to play.

some fans seem to think he is leaving this season the way they go on, just reminding that he has another year next year and whos to say the giants arent already talking to him about a new one.

According to this weeks League Express negotiations with the club haven't been going as he likes and he is still weighing up his options for the end of his contract.

Yeah, lad puts his hand up and puts in the graft! Players that chase the work obviously love the game! Defo a fan favourite and would love him to be a lifer with us.

A lad that had a similar approach was Alex brown, think he was at batley, not sure where he is now!

McGillivray Is definitely a quality player, He is one of the Giant's players I would be really sorry to see go, But if one of the so called top clubs came in for him you could not blame him if he went.
How many people would not change companies to do the same job, for more money and a chance of bonuses'. No doubt there would be plenty of gnashing of teeth on here at whatever club took him, Not unlike at Wakey when we take their best players.

Hopefully It's all nothing, But the answer is to give our players a chance to win things and then we can be a top club as well.

i agree! as far as i know there is a contract offer for him but he isn't rushing into anything as yet, and probably rightly so, he has 12 months to sort his future out so let's leave him to concentrate on his game,
agree about the chanting, it's a bit disrespectful to players who are out of contract IMO

We should be breaking the bank to sign Jerry. He deserves to be one of our top earners because he has earned that right. If we end up losing him it will be criminal.

I'm pretty confident that he won't be asking for silly money.
