Ian Mort will never make a good first team player. He looks scared with the ball in his hands and runds around the houses to get a kick. Wish he had gone to Halifax.

The lad got mullered last week against the Dire and probably still has it on his mind, couple more games under his belt and he should have his confidence back.

Our players could,nt move forward because the young Wigan lads where in their faces all day everytime Mort had the ball he was confronted by several defenders who had moved up
Leigh where very poor against a team of young lads our forwards lack punch and never once looked like breakin the line Army is never a loose forward in a million years, i,ll give him this tho he always turns in the tackle to unload great pity like last season there,s never anyone there to unload too

I'd agree that Morty had a shocker today but its only one game.

I thought he played alright. Was no worse or better than Maden and he got MOTM somehow lol?

3/4 times the ball was going down the line and we had a decent overlap and when it reached Mort he took on the line and got flattened when it was clear a pass was needed. I rate Mort but thought today his decision making was awful in attack. He wasn't the only one but he did it a few times.

Ah well early days.

We're only 2 games in but I could argue Watson was giving us much more than Paul is (on the pitch at least), but it's early days and we'll improve I'm sure of it.

From what I've seen so far Hartley is pants, Riddy offers us more, he was more involved than Hartley was.

I find it very frustrating when it is between Morty and Maden. Neither look like they want to field the ball. IM should buy a catapult and shoot the one who dallies about. Get the bloody thing picked up and run as fast and hard as you can in the oppposite direction of your own line. Simples. I was watching Ian in warm up and he didnt look very confident today. I hope he gets back to his best because I think he has a lot too offer.

Got to agree here - he never looked like breaking wind but how many more errors did he make in comparison to his team-mates

absoloutely disgusted with Mort today (not for the way he played

) but because of this:

we (wigan) kicked the ball and it bounced out behind the posts for a 20m restart to Leigh, and the ball went behind one of the ball boys who must have been about 9 or 10 and because Mort wanted to get a quick tap he was screaming to this little kid 'GIVE ME THE F*CKING BALL, GIVE ME THE F*CKING BALL NOW' everyone around was looking at him mouths open, cant believe he spoke to a kid like that.
