would someone please explain why players are choosing to join other clubs on loan rather than come to leigh it seems tha when ever a decent player goes on loan we never seem to get him

This quite easy to answer - last year a certain person involved with recruitment was enquiring via agents about players then once he got an interested player - then proceeded to go behind the agents back to try and cut out his fees. This was reported on a few occasions and then the agents now have a gents agreement to treat sporting club leigh like they were treated.

Interesting question. My memory plays tricks these days, but does anyone else remember W***n saying that they would loan young players out to Leigh?

He has - but damage like that takes a while to be forgotten - unfortunatley for Leigh

That was the impression that I got from the pre-friendly press releases. However, we were apparently 'offered' Mossop before he went to Barrow, and it appears that Goulding would rather have been loaned out to a Super League club (and who can blame him?)

I was in the room when Ian Leneghan made his speech about always being rivals on the pitch but great friends behind the scenes, and how they were going to be working closely with our board to bring over some of their players - talk is cheap eh?

But if players dont want to come and have a choice there is nowt anyone can do about it.
