Yes it would . In almost any other job in the public sector he would be put on gardening leave
In his situation there would have been 3 possible outcomes
1. Suspend him without pay show the club is very hostile to his actions but potentially unfair pending the enquiries
2/ let him play suggest the club do not wish to pass judgements on his actions the wire approach.
3/ stand him down pending the enquiries . Shows the club is not making a judgement but are concerned enough about his actions to take action.
In my view only 1 or 3 would have been acceptable.
I am disgusted by the actions of wire.
