I wonder if the name could be Bradford northern bulls. any other suggestions, I want to stay as the bulls though hopefully. also is it true that if we have to rebrand we go into the championship. cheers

as i understand it, clubs are not made to change their names, but most choose to because they want to distance themselves from the former regime. Bradford BUlls Holdings would cease trading, and a new company be formed. It could be using the bulls name or not!

I dont care whatever they call the new team, as long as we have one! Many of us still try to deny the fact we hated the idea of being called the bulls until we were successful!

You would have to change your trading name only. i.e Bradford Bulls RLFC to Bradford Northern Bulls RLFC. This is only the name you are registered as and would not affect anything else like TV, newspapers mediawise - you would be still Bradford Bulls.

As much as I didn't want lose the Bradford northern name I equally now don't want to lose bradford bulls!!!

Don't see this as an issue. Just for instance a new company could be Bradford Bulls (2012) Ltd and could trade as Bradford Bulls, which is just a trading name.

Its hardly important at the mo, but I'm sure there was something back in '94-'95 about us having to ask permission and/or pay a nominal fee to the Chigago Bulls for the Bulls branding as its pretty much the same as their trademark, I guess the newco would need to do the same again (or at least check on it) if it wanted to keep the Bulls branding.

They can call themselves the Black Hole Bustards for all I care, as long as they are able to continue turn out on the SL park.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, its time to rebrand the club "BRADFORD RIOT" - like Melbourne Storm, only Bradford style. I'm sure our visionary political representative George Galloway will back the move with some gusto!

The club has (or had) to pay an annual fee to the Chicago Bulls to use a derivative of their logo. The fee is for use of the logo, not the name Bulls.

Also, that presupposes that CB would be prepared to assign the agreement or re-license.

Thought it was something like that adey. So if you're the Chicago Bulls, who really wouldn't notice our cash either way, would you let us sign up again to let your branding be associated with such failure? Possibily, but only because it would register so little with them either way...but its not a given imo, and if we can't use the branding/logo would we still want the name?
