i know its early in the season but maybe look at bringing in braith anasta ?.covers at 6 and 13 and no doubt a very talented player who is unwanted at the roosters

I think I read somewhere that a move to SL for Anasta was out of the question due some business commitments in Aus.

tbf Adey we do have cap space available. Both hood and potter have mentioned it in interviews Iirc, with caveat that they will only use it if the right player became available. Whether that space is ample is another matter though. Doubt it would be enough to accomodate someone like anasta if im honest.

think thing people wanting us to gout and sign a half with quota spot are also failing to realise is, that by time any new player had acquired a visa etc and arrived its likely both herbert and briggs would be back fit again anyway. So its not the quick fix they seem to think. That said I did mention a few weeks back that I'd like us to go for a ball playing loose who could cover halves as well. The problem with going down that route is we're putting a senior player in the way of our promising youngster in those positions. catch 22 really, we need to keep a development path open for likes of addy,donaldson and southernwood into team but without letting 1st team results suffer too muck in the short term.

Interesting to read Timana Tahu is without a club, I hadnt realised this. He must be worth a punt. A quality Aus centre with matchwinning potential, cant really command mega bucks, could sign him up for rest of year. He would be best centre we have had for quite a while. I accept he has history but with MP's discipline he must be worth a go.
It is OK waiting and see what becomes available but that could be no one, too late to help or wrong position!!

Doubt Tahu would be looking for a 1 year deal at his stage of career. Good player for sure but what is the full story with Parra and why has nobody snapped him already?
