|  Castleford have confirmed that head-coach Ian Millward has left the club with immediate effect alongside assistant, Stuart Donlan.
The Tigers sit bottom of the table after seven straight defeats and look towards Danny Orr as a temporary replacement
Daryl Powell has been touted as an early successor although it remains to be seen if he will cross to Featherstone's biggest rival.
"Following a meeting with Ian Millward, both parties agreed that he should relinquish his position as Head Coach," read a delayed club statement.
"After a promising start to the 2013 season, recent results have been unacceptable for all concerned, including sponsors and supporters.
"The Club would like to thank Ian for his services and wish him all the best for the future.
"The Club will make an announcement regarding a new Head Coach in due course." |
